Share credentials and solve common problems
Present a credential
Start from one of these entry points:
- In the Vault, select Send Credentials, choose the expected verifier, and confirm the redirect.
- Open the verifier's presentation link or scan its QR code with the authorized Vault flow.
Then:
- Confirm the requesting party and the stated purpose.
- Review every requested credential and claim. The screen indicates whether all claims or only specific claims are requested.
- Select the credential to use when more than one matches.
- Review the summary and select Send only if the verifier and requested information are correct.
- Wait for the verification result. Do not close the flow while the presentation is processing.
Cancel if the requesting party, purpose, redirect destination, credential type, or requested attributes are unexpected.
Common problems
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| No local users are shown | Site data may have been cleared or the identity has not been imported on this browser. Restore the local key. |
| Password works but login reports a missing key | Password recovery succeeded but local-key recovery did not. Import the backup or recovery words, or use the approved gateway recovery. |
| Fingerprint/passkey button is unavailable | Use HTTPS, confirm WebAuthn support, select a local user, and restore the local key first. |
| Passkey is rejected | Use the same device/account or hardware key used at registration. If the credential was deleted, use another access or recovery method. |
| Camera is blank or denied | Enable camera permission for the site, close other camera applications, and reload the flow. |
| QR offer cannot be resolved | Confirm network access and request a new offer; do not reuse an expired or one-time offer. |
| Credential remains pending | Keep the Vault online and check Pending. The issuer may use deferred issuance. |
| No credential matches a verifier request | Obtain the required credential from an accepted issuer or contact the verifier. Do not substitute unrelated evidence. |
| FaceTec stops before completion | Check camera permission, lighting, and network, then refresh enrollment status before retrying. |
Information to provide to support
Provide the time, affected component, user-visible error, browser and operating-system versions, and a non-sensitive transaction or request identifier if displayed. Never include passwords, recovery words, private keys, complete credentials, biometric data, session tokens, or production secrets.
